Liberty of the Seas. Thanksgiving 2016 sailing Port of Galveston boarding - arrived around 1:30 pm. Queue lines for security were disorganized, but checkin was quick and easy.
We bring several cases of one liter bottles of water and 2 of the 4 cases where not tagged by the porter correctly and never made it to our room. Advise if you are bringing water or soda on, mark them before you get to the port. Guest services remedied the situation and had 12 one liter water bottle deliver to out room. Thank you to Rodrigio for the great service.
Limited alcohol menu available will in port, remaining in effect until out of port 11 miles.
We don't eat in the main dinning room most nights. So we made reservations at the specialty restaurants on board. Liberty has 3 specialty restaurants. Chops, Giovanni's Table and Sabor. We ate two nights in Chops and three nights at Giovanni's Table. Alex, the restaurant manager at Giovanni's Table, had additional menu items available for repeat diners. What a great way to have people come back to your restaurant and try new courses.
We had Thanksgiving dinner in the main dining room. They served turkey and ham. Glad to see that this ship served a thanksgiving meal. Previous cruise during thanksgiving on the Quantum, they did not serve a holiday meal.

We stayed in a junior suite, and nothing exciting to report. We met our cabin steward on the first day and never saw him again. This is now the second cruise we didn't see our cabin steward. The room was clean, but small details were overlooked. Example, there was a small jelly bean on my floor the entire cruise and it did not belong to us. When women travel the drains may be clogged with hair. The hair was never removed.
Regarding the outdoor activities. They have a rock wall and flowrider. This ship has added three slides. Great addition to the sport deck. The sport staff does there job, but not as friendly as in the past. You can also go ice skating.

Shows
Ice show is the first two nights.
In the Air production aerial show was one night. Good show to see.
Headllner show, El Gaucho was two nights. Not sure why the show was two nights. It is not a show you would see a second time.
Saturday Night Fever, the Broadway production show was the last night. Only two shows.
Disembarkation
Many people in this ship live locally to Houston and they do the walk off service.
You disembark from 730 am - 9 am before they start calling numbers. Plan accordingly if you have a flight out of Hobby or IAH.
Overall great ship, much better overall customer service on this size ship. The large ships seem to lose the WOW, with so many guests on board.
This cruise was booked through Costco Travel. Included in this cruise was the following.
• One specialty dining experience for up to four guests • Onboard soda package for two • Lunch or dinner at Johnny Rockets® per person • Cupcake decorating class for two • Rice Krispy treat for two • Ice cream cup for two

Great perks added to your vacation.
