Labadee (260 acres of private beaches, located in Haiti)

Royal Caribbean has a private island in the Caribbean. It is operated by Royal Caribbean, but realize, many of the people working on the beaches are locals.

A tram is provided to move from one side of the island to the other

On the island you can do the following: - have a barbeque lunch, it includes hamburger, hotdogs, ribs, chicken, salads, fruit and dessert. Lunch is served in two locations on the island. The one with the shorter line seems to be the one closest to where the ship docks. While in Labadee, you can find a beach and relax or do some of the activities available on the island.

There is a fee for the following: - Dragon’s Breath zip line (longest zipline over water) - $96 - Dragon Trail coaster** - single ride- $20, all day - $36 - Water park - Arawak Aqua Park - $20/hr - Spa treatments

- Parasailing

- Beach loungers for 2 ($35/pp)

- All day beach bed - $175

- Other excursion around the island, kayaking, waverunner, snorkeling...

- Relax in a more private setting in the upscale sea view cabanas overlooking the action of Nellie's Beach. Each luxury cabana rental includes 2 floating beach mats, lunch buffet at Columbus Cove Café, Dragon's Cafe or Café Labadee, water cooler with 6 bottles of water, the use of beach towels and the service of a cabana attendant.

If you are interested in shopping, there is a shopping area with local items to purchase. You can purchase hand crafted goods, art and clothing. You will need cash, your SeaPass card will not work.

When leaving the ship, remember to take towels. All other amenities will be available on the island. The island is located on Haiti and it is very hot, most times of the year. **Alpine Coasters are basically downhill tracks that follow the contours of the land. You simply let gravity pull you down along the track and enjoy the rush. They’re not very common yet, and rare outside of Europe and the Western US. The one in Labadee may very well be the only one that sends you whipping around groves of palm trees. Try not to ride the brake.
